Refunds, cancellations & rescheduling

Scope

These terms apply to paid consultations and advisory engagements with Ashdown Estate & Wealth (estate planning, retirement income, pension reviews, portfolio reviews and family wealth conversations). They do not cover third-party solicitor or accountancy fees.

Refund eligibility

You may request a full refund of fees paid if we cancel an engagement before substantive work begins, or if we materially fail to deliver the agreed written output. A partial refund may apply when work has started but cannot be completed for reasons within our control.

Timeframe to request

Please raise refund requests within fourteen days of the event giving rise to the claim (for example, a cancelled meeting we could not rearrange, or delivery of an incomplete pack). Requests after that window are considered case by case.

Full and partial refunds

If no discovery meeting has occurred and no document review has begun, fees paid are refundable in full. After the discovery meeting, we may retain a portion reflecting time already spent — typically the value of that meeting and initial document sorting — and refund the balance of any unused fixed fee.

Non-refundable items

Complimentary introductory meetings have no fee to refund. Third-party costs you incur (travel, solicitor instructions, valuation fees) are outside our refund process. Once a final written recommendation pack has been delivered in line with the engagement letter, the fee for that pack is non-refundable.

Deposits

Where a deposit secures a discovery meeting, it is credited toward the engagement fee. If you cancel with at least forty-eight hours’ notice, the deposit may be transferred to a new date or refunded. Cancellations inside forty-eight hours may forfeit the deposit unless we can fill the slot.

Cancellation & rescheduling

You may reschedule an agreed meeting once without charge if you give at least forty-eight hours’ notice. Further reschedules may incur an administration charge disclosed before confirmation. We will reschedule promptly if an adviser is unavailable.

No-shows

If you miss a booked discovery meeting without notice, we may charge for that meeting time or apply the deposit against it before offering a further date.

Work already started

Document review, modelling and drafting of recommendations count as work started. Refunds after this point reflect unfinished stages only.

Refund process & timing

Email hello@storage-pipes.digital with your name, engagement reference if any, and reason for the request. We confirm the outcome within ten working days. Approved refunds are returned by the original payment method within fourteen working days of approval.
